much increased of
late, and this has occasioned the
large increase in fees paid to Government, on which the Chief- Justice has based his estimate, as
he believes that business will not
fall off very much.

The Chief Justice
strongly recommends the increased pay proposed by the Governor for the Deputy Registrars, and also that the
salary

salary of the Registrar should be raised from $4800 + 240, as Official Trustee, to
$5.760 if the business continues as it has
done this
year (see page 10). I happy to be able to inform Your
